Radnor State Park

The Radnor Lake State Park founded on 1914, situated within Davidson County at the middle of Overton Hills and south to the Metropolitan Nashville within Oak Hill Community. Radnor Lake is an 85-acre lake, created by the Louisville and Nashville Railroad Company. It was created primarily for the company’s officials and guests use. The property was up for sale in 1962 for development, however due to public influence, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation purchased the property from the company and made it into a new park, which is what is known today as the Radnor Lake State Park.

Radnor Lake State Park, which is one of the popular state parks in Nashville in Tennessee, is one of the most visited parks in the place. This park features twelve miles of hiking trails for those who love to walk. The park is a natural area, which features different, exciting and attractive spots of nature’s best refreshing offers such as the lake, several streams and a huge display nature’s beauty, wildlife and various types of plants. Flowers are abundant in the park, which are the best and attractive setting for geological, biological, and passive entertainment opportunities that any visitor cannot find in other vacation spots in Nashville.
